XD860A is indicated for surgeon use to cut and reshape bone tissues as used in spine surgery, neurosurgery and hand-foot surgery.
XD860A converts electrical energy into ultrasonic vibration energy by piezoelectric technology, and “fragments” the bone tissues with smaller elasticity at longitudinal by using the mechanical effect of ultrasound, thus to complete cutting and fragment of bone tissues. Since the vibration process is retractable, and no rotation occurs, so there would be no winding of the soft tissues in surgeries.
Cutting tips of XD860A are blunt, and the retractable distance is very short of less than 0.12mm. With certain degree of flexibility, soft tissues are able to deform when ultrasonic cutting tip contact the soft tissue and thus mechanical vibration is absorbed and spread, so there is no cutting effect even if cutting tip slightly compress the surface of soft tissues. On the contrary, since bone tissues are inelastic, the mechanical vibration will be fully functioned at the contacting surface, and cause it to cleave.
The low power design of XD860A ensures micro longitudinal vibration of cutting tips, with no winding or tear of soft tissues, therefore it can be used safely at the surgical site adjacent to dura, nerves and blood vessels.
XD860A completes bone cutting through the longitudinal vibration of cutting tips, so there is no swing of handpiece or high-speed rotation. In spine surgery, it can cut directly to the dura mater, and reduces operational risks and difficulties. Various geometries of cutting tips are supplied, including scalpel, curette and hook shaver and etc, among which curette and hook shaver can be operated from intra to outward to avoid dural injuries caused by cutting tips slip in spinal column accidently by applying excessive forces in operation.
It can not only be used in en bloc bone removal, but also can be used to open groove and enlarge bone window. Various operational methods allow surgeons to choose their suitable surgical techniques, and make operations more efficient. Automatic liquid-flow system integrated in the product makes temperature of the surgical site low, and avoids bone surface necroses, and improves surgical techniques, shortens operation time.
